Alexis Kador takes immense pride in her alma mater, Southern University and A&M College. As a dedicated community advocate, Alexis serves Baton Rouge and its neighboring areas, spearheading the development and coordination of positive youth empowerment initiatives, conducting workshops and trainings, and championing policy advocacy, among other impactful projects. Alexis remains steadfast in her commitment to enhancing the well-being of all Louisianans, with a special focus on youth.
Across the greater Baton Rouge region, Alexis has stood as a mentor and bridge between communities. She has led and participated in numerous projects and planning teams aimed at advancing our collective well-being. Notably, she played a pivotal role in the planning team for the Louisiana Center for Health Equity's annual health summit—an event that brings together stakeholders and experts from across the nation, with a strong equity-centered approach. Her peers hold her in high regard, recognizing her natural leadership abilities.
Alexis's true passion lies in community programming, driven by a deep-seated belief that every underserved community deserves access to resources, opportunities, and a nurturing environment for personal growth and mental well-being.
At the helm of the recently established Move Project Foundation, Alexis serves as its founder and president. This 501c3 organization is dedicated to propelling the community forward by means of education, collaboration, and storytelling. The core mission is to instigate transformation through active community engagement, youth education, and the mobilization of opportunities and resources for underserved and underrepresented communities, ensuring that all individuals have the best shot at success in their unique journeys. The vision is to elevate social and environmental conditions by shedding light on the experiences of various communities.
Through Alexis's tireless efforts, she has created safe spaces where individuals can unleash their creativity, build confidence, and set meaningful goals for their personal advancement.
